![]() ![]() UPDATE 3: I was recording the footage to a mechanical hard drive instead of an SSD. Installed MSI after burner and the video seems to work ok, still need to run more tests. Update 2: I had a program called EVGA precision XOC that ran my GPU and crashed my computer a few times before uninstalling it. Base Clock: 980 MHz Boost Clock: 1033 MHz Bus: PCIe 3.0 2-way, 3-way SLI Ready Memory. I’ll have to let it run for an hour but from a 16 min video it seemed to have zero dropped frames. The EVGA GeForce GTX 760 is the new weapon of choice for gamers. Update 1: seems like changing the downscale filter to lanczos in the video settings did the trick. I’ll let anyone know if I find a solution. If that doesn’t work I’m going to make another one except with the encoder to x264 and if no difference is done I’ll switch to 720p 60FPS just thinking about it makes me sick (JK) I would prefer silky smooth performance over laggy high quality video. I’m doing another recording for the last of us 1 cinematic, I switched the source from “elgato game capture HD” to “game capture HD60 S” i never knew their was a difference. Anyways I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem with a similar graphics card and maybe can recommend a solution, I heard somewhere that my graphics card might be able to handle it so I should switch to the x264 encoder instead of The NVIDIA NVENC H.264 (new) encoder. But when I go for 2 hours it has a lot more dropped frames in it. Also when I make short videos (under 15-30 mins) it’s totally fine, no dropped frames. I realize it may be the insanely highbit rate that may be bottle necking it. It records fine in some places but in some high action scenes it will drop about a second worth of frames, I’m recording off of an elgato HD60 S and it should be able to capture it at 40,000kb-120,000 biterate. So I’m starting to slowly lose hope I can record (not stream) at 1080p 30FPS on my system.
